Kagome redesign pt 2

Just the second half of my Kagone redesign!

1. Just like the last one, we start with my original redesign from 2019.

2. I knew from the start that I didn’t want her to be in her school uniform while in the feudal era.

3. I quickly abandoned the kimono/yukata influences and focused on function over fashion.

4. My mom commented that pastels often wash out our darker skin tones, so I swapped out the green for more saturated colors.

5. These were the three designs that I liked the most. I decided to add patterns to the shirts to make it a bit more interesting.

6. Some feedback I got was that the silhouette of the 3 design was the most interesting and that I should add to the overalls to enhance the utilitarian feel of the outfit.

7. In the end, I chose the 3rd design. I also decided to add back some of the green to pay homage to Kagome’s original design.
